Do you have a vegetarian option?
We always have at least 20 frozen meal choices at our take-out counter, and a nice variety of vegetarian options. Also, a vegetarian option is offered every day in schools.
Do you have vegan, gluten-free, or dairy-free meals?
You can see every meal ingredient list on our web site.
Do you have halal meals?
No, but you may like our vegetarian options.
What should I do with the containers after eating the meal?
The waxed cardboard should go in the recycle bin, and the plastic wrap, in the trash.
Body
Is your organization a non-profit?
Since 1991, we are a non-profit, and every sold meal helps to provide food to Sherbrooke families in need.
Donations
Can we donate food?
For hygiene and sanitation reasons, we accept fresh foods, such as fruits and vegetables, and non-perishables from individuals.
Do you give tax receipts for food donations?
Unfortunately, we can give tax receipts only for monetary donations.
Volunteering
Do you welcome interns?
On a regular basis, we welcome doctors, social workers or assistant cooks in training. Tell us about your project, it will be a pleasure for us to discuss it with you.
Services
Who are our services for?
Our services are first and foremost for low-income individuals and families who are stable residents of Sherbrooke. The lunch boxes are offered in targeted schools in the Sherbrooke area.
Although, if you are not sure to qualify, we recommend you contact us, because our frozen meals are there for you at a price based on your income.
What are your business hours?
The take-out counter is open Monday to Friday between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
