This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit https://lagrandetable.com/ (the “Site”) or make a purchase there.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect Device Information for statistical purposes using the following technologies:

COOKIES
Here is a list of cookies that we use. We have listed them here so that you can choose whether you want to opt out or not.

  • _session_id: unique session identifier, allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc.).

  • _shopify_visit: no data held, persists for 30 minutes from the last visit. Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits.

  • _shopify_uniq: no data held, expires at midnight (visitor’s local time) of the next day. Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.

  • cart: unique identifier, persists for 2 weeks, stores information about your shopping cart.

  • _secure_session_id: unique session identifier.

  • storefront_digest: unique identifier, indefinite if the store has a password, used to determine if the current visitor has access.

“Log files” track actions occurring on the Site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

“Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

Additionally, when you make or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we use the term “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are referring to both Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Generally, we use the Order Information we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). In addition, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you;

  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information (in particular, your IP address) that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud, and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Some of your Personal Information may be communicated or stored outside of Quebec by La Grande Table or by a person or organization to whom La Grande Table may entrust the task of collecting, using, communicating, or storing such information.

In such cases, La Grande Table ensures that your Personal Information benefits from adequate protection, in particular with regard to generally recognized and reasonable personal information protection principles under the circumstances.

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information in our records for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above, unless you ask us to delete this information sooner. After that, the information is securely destroyed in accordance with applicable best practices.

All data is protected by password security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
