Small lunch boxes
Since 2013, the P'tites Boîtes à Lunch program has been offered free of charge in 11 Sherbrooke schools. The program provides a daily hot meal to children targeted by school teams who are identified as lacking a lunch or who lack sufficient content or variety. A free meal is then offered to these young people throughout the school year. This year, the service sponsored more than 300 young people and served 50,000 free hot meals to local students. This program is in partnership with the Rock-Guertin Foundation and the Christian Vachon Foundation.

Econo-lunch
Écono-lunchs is our second food service in Sherbrooke schools, offering hot meals at low prices to families in need. We are now partnering with La Cantine pour tous, a Quebec group of non-profit organizations specializing in food assistance. La Cantine has developed an affordable cost model where parents make a voluntary contribution of at least $1 for meals. Present in 11 elementary schools, for the current school year, we will serve approximately 75,000 affordable meals to Sherbrooke students.
Tasty from the counter
Previously, La Grande Table offered an on-site family meal service. In response to the growing needs of Sherbrooke families, we developed a takeout frozen meal service, Les Savoureux du comptoir. By providing proof of income, individuals or families can obtain meals for $1 or $2.75 each, depending on their income threshold. Frozen meals are also available to everyone, regardless of income, for $6 per meal. The service is also offered in partnership with the Cégep de Sherbrooke and the Université de Sherbrooke. Since its creation in 2020, our affordable meal service has grown by 30% annually. In 2023, we served more than 75,000 meals to low-income individuals and families in Sherbrooke.
